Superintendent Horace McClellan Jr.

In 2009 Pastor Horace and Evangelist Lenita McClelan, Jr became the Shepherd of The House of Consolation.  Their vision is three fold: EVANGELISM, COMMUNITY OUTREACH & YOUTH MINISTRY: Helping our young people develop skills for entrepreneurship.  

Currently, they are in partnership with the Long Beach Women's Shelter, and several assisted living facilities in the area.  They also have a Thanksgiving Food Giveaway Program designed especially for the unchurched. Outreach services are scheduled once a quarter.

The church theme for 2017 is "I CAN SEE THE FINISH LINE". Philippians 3:13-14. Not only based on the scripture of Paul and him about to finish his race, but as it pertains to a financial victory called a "MORTGAGE BURNING".  After 39 years of ministry, Consolation Church of God In Christ made its final mortgage payment June 10, 2018. We're so grateful and ready for the next move of God 

 A blessing that demonstrates how God can guide you even in your finances.  This event will release this body of believers to expand their ministry to provide a facility for the homeless; getting them off the streets and from under freeways, and living in their cars... To a place of HOPE & CONSOLATION.
